The emergency department data sharing project I spearheaded while at Sutter Health continues to make the news. Last week, the California Health Care Foundation Innovation Fund announced a $1 million investment into the platform created by Collective Medical Technologies and piloted by Sutter in Northern California.  The new funding will support adoption of the platform by public hospitals and integration with Health Information Exchanges. It's exciting to see a community health innovation that launched in the East Bay gain support and momentum as it continues to spread across California.
